During a press conference in Enugu on Tuesday, Lt Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), expressed his disapproval of the soldier’s behavior and confirmed that the Nigerian Army has taken the soldier into custody.
He further stated that an investigation is underway to identify and take appropriate action against any other individuals who have engaged in similar misconduct. Lt Gen. Lagbaja emphasized the Army’s commitment to addressing the issue and ensuring that all those involved are held accountable.
