Taribo West, a former AC Milan defender, believes Samuel Chukwueze will play a significant role for the Roosoneri.
Chukwueze switched to AC Milan this summer from Villarreal.
But the winger has had trouble making a name for himself on the squad.
The 24-year-old has made eight appearances for the previous Serie A champions but has yet to score or provide an assist.
But West insisted that Chukwueze’s decision to support Stefano Pioli was the right one.
By choosing Milan, West told ESPN, “I think he made one of his best career decisions.”
“In Milan, Chukwueze will perform at his best.
“I think it’s best for him because Milan is a club that will give him the environment and conditions to bring out his best abilities,” said the coach. They have the infrastructure to advance a player, particularly a young player who is genuinely motivated to succeed.
