Christmas Relief: Dangote Reduces Petrol Price to ₦899 Per Litre
As a Christmas gesture, Dangote slashes petrol prices to ₦899 per litre, offering Nigerians some financial relief during the festive season.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in its petrol price to N899.50K per litre, aiming to provide relief for Nigerians during the Christmas and New Year holiday season.
In a statement, Anthony Chiejina, the company’s spokesman, announced that the price reduction aims to alleviate transport costs during the festive season.
The refinery also announced that customers can acquire an extra litre of fuel on credit for each litre they purchase with cash.
In November, the privately owned refinery had reduced its petrol price to N970 per liter.
To help reduce transportation expenses this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is providing a special discount on PMS. Starting today, our petrol will be priced at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM.
Chiejina stated, “Additionally, with every liter bought in cash, consumers will have the chance to purchase another liter on credit. This offer is supported by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank or Zenith Bank.”
The spokesperson for the refinery, which has a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day (BPD), also thanked Nigerians for their ongoing support as the country approaches the festive season.
Chiejina further stressed the refinery’s dedication to providing Nigerians with premium quality petroleum products that are both competitively priced and environmentally, as well as engine-friendly.
He emphasized that the refinery’s operations signify an end to Nigeria serving as a dumping ground for substandard and “blended” imported products, which have significantly endangered human health, machinery, and the environment.
