Christmas: IPOB releases security advisory for individuals traveling to Anambra and Imo states

Because of the instability, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has advised Anambra and Imo State natives returning home for Christmas not to travel.

While claiming to have discovered a scheme to incite unrest in the area, the group also promised to protect returnees by deploying members of its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

“Biafrans shouldn’t let sponsored criminals scare them into staying away from home for the holidays. But we urge our folks to exercise caution and heed the following travel guidelines.

“When travelling and the possible routes they may be taking, people should let their loved ones know.”

“Be extremely careful if you travel through Nnewi South or the Ihiala-Igboukwu-Orlu road. Take extra caution when filling up at the Total station at the intersection of Ihiala.

The organisation listed several highways in Imo and Anambra State that they claimed had turned into deadly zones.

In Imo and Anambra States, the routes are as follows: Nnewi-Ukpor-Isseke Road, Orsumoghu-Mbosi Road, Azia Junction Road to Orsumoghu Junction, Isseke to Ubuluihejiofo Road, Orsumoghu to Orsuihiteukwa, Ihitenansa Link Road to Eke ututu.
