Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, predicts that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, will most likely win in Christian-dominated regions of the North in the 2023 elections, but he also said that it would be sufficient for him to win.
However, the Kaduna governor asserted that one local government vote in Kaduna State will cancel out the votes Obi will receive from his home state of Anambra, even if he also predicted that Obi will win certain states in the south of the nation.
El-Rufai rejected the possibilities of the LP candidate in a TVC interview, saying he would not fare well in the poll.
He called Obi an actor in Nollywood and said, “That’s all he will be.”
“Will Peter Obi be elected?” he wondered.Peter Obi is polling at 1% in Sokoto, 2% in Katsina, and 5% in Kano; these are the votes, and not all states are created equally.
“Just because you’re performing at 70% in Anambra State doesn’t imply someone performing at 10% in Kano isn’t superior to you.”

“Kano has 4 million actual votes, but Anambra has the equivalent amount of votes to one local government in Kaduna State.”
“So all states are not created equal.” Peter Obi will win the southern states and perform well there.
In the north, he is polling well, but how many Christian enclaves are there? Except for a dip in the ocean in Lagos, he is not polling well in the south west. What number?
“Peter Obi can’t win the election; he lacks the necessary number of states, he doesn’t have 25% in more than 16 states, and he can do nothing.” Peter Obi is, and will always be, a Nollywood actor.
“The APC and the PDP are the only two parties with a footprint and a spread in this election.” Bigotry based on race or religion will not get you very far, and the Labour Party may be an example of this.
