Christians in Tudun Biri community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State came together on Monday to celebrate Christmas with a special church service, despite the tragic military airstrike that took place earlier this month.

The community members, both Christians and Muslims, gathered in gratitude to God for being alive to witness the Christmas season, even though they had lost loved ones in the unfortunate incident.

The church service was attended by Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, who represented Governor Uba Sani.

During the service, Aruwan expressed his condolences to the people of Tudun Biri for the heartbreaking event that occurred on December 3rd.

The entire nation mourned the loss of over 85 lives and the injuries sustained by many others in the military mishap. In response to the incident, the Nigerian Army issued an apology and assured the public that such an occurrence would not happen again.

However, human rights organizations have criticized the incident, and both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sani have ordered an investigation into the matter.
