Chippa Coach Reveals Why Nwabali Owes Him a Mercedes Benz

Sean Louw, the custodian coach at Chippa United, claims Stanley Nwabali owes him a Mercedes Benz for his audacious guess that he will play in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nwabali was an unexpected addition to Nigeria’s team for the Cote d’Ivoire-hosted biennial tournament.

The former Enyimba and Katsina United custodian only made one appearance for the Super Eagles before the campaign.

In 2021, the 27-year-old was in goal as Mexico defeated the Super Eagles team, which was primarily composed of local players, 5-0 in a friendly played in the United States.

“I informed Stanley that he would be participating in the AFCON, and he responded, ‘I won’t participate in the AFCON as long as I am representing Chippa,’” Louw stated to Idisktimes.

“I replied, ‘Challenge accepted,’ and he promised to buy me a Mercedes Benz if he plays in the AFCON. I’m still waiting on my Mercedes Benz today (laughs).
