On Monday, July 29th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in Beijing played host to attendees from Africa who were participating in the Forum on China-Africa Digital Cooperation.

The minister of telecommunications in Senegal anticipated the upcoming transformations planned for the next three years.

Alioune Sall expressed that the collaboration in digital technology between China and Africa is mutually beneficial, resulting in advantageous outcomes for our nations, the African continent and China by establishing inventive infrastructure.

Together, the parties released a plan of action consisting of 10 demonstrations for digital transformation and education programs aimed at preparing no less than 1,000 individuals in this field.

Over the course of the next three years, this initiative endeavors to enhance collaborations across digital policy, infrastructure, advanced innovation, security measures and workforce development.

Over the past few years, China has entered into several digital partnership agreements with various African governments.

Over 900 million people in the continent are benefitting from Chinese firms’ involvement in enhancing network infrastructures, as reported by the China Academy of ICTs.
