In the Super Bowl of the National Football League, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 with a field goal with eight seconds left.

Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Chiefs, was named the game’s most valuable player after tossing three touchdown passes.

As Kansas City overcame a 24-14 halftime deficit by scoring on all of their second-half possessions, two of those touchdowns came in the fourth quarter.

With just over five minutes left in the game, the Eagles were able to knot it 35-35 thanks to their quarterback Jalen Hurts’ touchdown and two-point conversion runs.

To set up for the game-winning field goal, Kansas City had to travel 66 yards down the field, but it was able to use almost all of the remaining time. Only one last-ditch pass attempt, which failed, was made by Philadelphia.

The Chiefs’ victory in the Super Bowl became their second in four years after their triumph in 2020.

In addition to his three rushing scores, Hurts finished the game with 304 throwing yards and one passing touchdown.
