“Securing a spot in the top 2 at the Miss Universe competition is still quite surprising to me… To be honest, I’m finished with it. Participating in pageantry was truly a traumatic experience for me,” she expressed.
“People still don’t grasp how I felt. There were moments during the Miss Universe contest when I nearly gave up. I’m truly finished with pageantry and want to concentrate on discovering who I am while advancing my education.”
After securing the position of 1st runner-up at the Miss Universe competition, Adetshina was honored with the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania.
After withdrawing from the Miss South Africa contest due to scrutiny over her nationality, she went on to win Miss Nigeria.
