Following the Chicago State University disclosure, Temitope Ajayi, President Bola Tinubu’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, criticised Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s 2023 presidential candidate.
Atiku was “stripped naked” by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, according to Ajayi, who also emphasised that Tinubu gave him sanctuary.
He said that no buddy should be put through the kind of strain that Atiku put Tinubu through.
The media assistant recounted how Tinubu supported Atiku when Olusegun Obasanjo, the former president, opposed him in a post on X.
For Tinubu’s certificate from Chicago State University, Atiku had petitioned a court in the US.
The organisation revealed Tinubu’s attendance at CSU by making the certificate public.
In response, Ajayi stated: “For me, the question is not whether or not President Tinubu holds a degree from Chicago State University.
The former vice president Atiku is a bad man, that much is true.
“No one should treat a friend to the amount of abuse and humiliation he has meted out to President Tinubu because of his earthly status and rivalry for power.
“We’re talking about a Tinubu who once overcame great obstacles for Atiku.
“A Tinubu that provided shelter to Atiku in 2007 when President Obasanjo and the PDP brutally beat him while stripping him naked.
“No friend should become what Ekiti people call ‘aleni mo deyin,’ a relentless pursuer like former VP Atiku regardless of the prize,”
