Some Nigerians have been perplexed as to why the former Lagos State governor has no classmates during his time in the university.
Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, had also applied to a court in the US for access to Tinubu’s academic records from Chicago University.
However, according to a video clip that has been making the rounds on social media, Ogunsanya confirmed during an interview with TVC News that the President and he both graduated from the University in 1979.
He stated, “We were in the same department at Chicago State University, College of Accounting Business and Administrative with a major in Accounting, and we were in the same class together and graduated.
He did go to college and graduated in 1979, the same year I did. I’m here to attest that he did go to college and was a decent student.
“For everybody to see, I’m here with my diploma. I merely want to clarify things because we both graduated from the same university, not out of favour or for personal advantage.
