Jim Swartz is the new Chairman and Managing Director of Chevron Nigeria Limited.
Esimaje Brikinn, the company’s general manager of policy, government, and public affairs, provided Platinumpost with a statement on Wednesday that included this information.

Swartz was named “as the Chairman and Managing Director of Chevron Nigeria/Mid-Africa Business Unit, effective April 1, 2024,” the announcement said.
Swartz was stationed in Houston, Texas, and served as Vice President, Capital Projects, prior to his appointment.
As stated in the release, “He brings a wealth of experience in the upstream business and a proven ability to build effective partnerships with stakeholders.”
After completing his studies at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Swartz went on to get a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Oklahoma.
Supposedly, he began his career with Chevron in 1990 as a geologist in Louisiana. Since then, he has held more responsible jobs in both the United States and Angola.
Richard Kennedy, “who has elected to retire after almost 40 years of service to the company,” is replaced by Swartz.
