Chelsea is set to continue direct negotiations with Victor Osimhen today, while Al Ahli remains on standby as potential alternative suitors. The transfer saga unfolds with high stakes for the Nigerian striker
Chelsea still has hope that Victor Osimhen will join them this summer.
Following weeks of negotiations and disputes about the player’s weekly remuneration, Fabrizio Romano, a football transfer expert states that Chelsea will resume direct discussions with Osimhen’s representatives on Wednesday.
The move of Osimhen to Stamford Bridge this summer is reportedly being delayed due to his request for a huge weekly salary amounting to £500,000.
Chelsea has been keeping an eye on the striker throughout the summer, and it is anticipated that the transaction will heat up during the last week of transfer season.

Enzo Maresca, the Chelsea manager, is aiming to acquire a fresh forward this season and has identified Osimhen as their leading target.
This summer, Romelu Lukaku will be joining Napoli as Osimhen and the team have reached an agreement to go their separate ways. He is coming in from Chelsea.
According to Romano, the proposal by Al Ahli is still available but it will only come into effect if Chelsea fails to reach a consensus with Osimhen regarding the terms.
He stated that Chelsea perceives the possibility of acquiring Jadon Sancho separately if Man United shows interest in Raheem Sterling.
