Last Sunday, 26 minutes into their 2-0 Premier League loss to Everton, the 24-year-old suffered a hamstring injury.
The England international is been sidelined indefinitely as a result.
But according to TEAMtalk (via Four Four Two), Chelsea is looking to add Elvedi to its roster when the transfer window reopens in January.
Elvedi’s versatility allows him to play out wide in defence even if his primary position is centre back.
The present agreement between Eveldi and Monchengladbach expires in 2027.
With 284 games played for the Bundesliga team, the 27-year-old has 15 goals and 9 assists.
