Charly Boy, a nonconformist singer, has advised Nigerians not to regard Wole Soyinka, a Nobel laureate, seriously.
He suggested that Soyinka, who is approaching 90 years old, may be experiencing cognitive decline due to aging.
Charly Boy insinuated that Soyinka’s recent behavior and statements could be attributed to this decline in mental faculties.
The 73-year-old musician expressed concern about how Soyinka’s family and close associates are unable to shield him from unscrupulous politicians who are taking advantage of his health condition for their own gain.
