Charles Oputa, the renowned singer and performer known as Charly Boy, has finally addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding his sexuality.
In a recent interview with reality star Uriel Oputa, he clarified that although he possesses a feminine side which he affectionately refers to as Linda, he is not gay.
Charly Boy explained that his portrayal of the character Miss Zigizigi during his Charly Boy show was simply a part of his artistic expression, which he adopted while living in the United States.

He acknowledged that his feminine mannerisms may sometimes be misunderstood, leading to assumptions about his sexual orientation.
However, he firmly stated that if he were gay, he would actively advocate for gay rights in Nigeria by participating in protests and championing the cause.
