Joshua Rogers, a reporter for Channels Television, has been freed after being abducted in Rivers State.
The incident occurred on Thursday night around 9 pm when Rogers was followed to his residence and subsequently confronted by his attackers at gunpoint. They then took him away in his own car.
According to Obasanjonews.com, the criminals contacted Rogers’ wife and demanded a ransom of N30 million.
The news of his kidnapping quickly spread, prompting various groups to call for his immediate and unconditional release.

It remains unclear whether any ransom was paid for his freedom.
Rogers has since been seen at his elder brother’s house, surrounded by family members and friends who were singing praises to God.
As of now, the Rivers State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
