Kelechi Iheanacho, a forward for Leicester City, claims that he is not vying with Jamie Vardy for the team’s starting position.
Iheanacho has been Vardy’s understudy ever since the latter joined King Power in 2017.
The Nigerian international was the club’s leading scorer and Player of the Season last year for the Foxes.
For Enzo Maresca’s team this year, Iheanacho and Vardy each have four goals.
The 27-year-old praised Vardy and called the Englishman a great as he professed his respect for the player.

Let me correct that, it’s never a battle between Jamie and me because he’s a legend in the game and has done so much for this fantastic club, he said to LeicestershireLive.
It’s never a battle because I have the utmost regard for him; after all, he is a legend, as I’ve mentioned before.
You know what he’s like since he scores when he plays. So, if I participate, I do my part. Me, Jamie, and Patson (Daka), we never argue since we are content with our current situation.
