Frank Lampard, the temporary manager of Chelsea, has attributed their Tuesday night Champions League elimination to a lack of finishing.
The Blues fell to Real Madrid 2-0 at Stamford Bridge for the second game in a week, and as a result of their 4-0 overall record, they were eliminated.
Rodrygo scored twice to defeat Lampard’s team for the holders.
After the game, Lampard argued that the outcome would have been different if they had taken their chances earlier.
“Sure, that’s true. For 60 minutes, we performed admirably. Chances have been created, but you must seize them.
“When you lose at this level, you don’t want to overly compliment the performance, but we were far better. The players may carry this feeling with them into the future because this club has advanced further in the competition, he remarked.
