Chairman of the Labour Party Abure fires Ajibola, Imasuagbon, and other aides
Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, has given his approval to some of his assistants’ terminations from their positions.
Abure said in a letter of termination that was signed by the party’s National Secretary, Umar Farouk, that all appointments pertaining to elections and campaigns had been formally dissolved.
Didacus Joe-Adigwe, Senior Special Adviser on Strategy, Protocol, and International Relations; Princess Ajibola, Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties and Mobilisation; and Isaac Imasuagbon, Senior Special Assistant on ICT are among the appointees that are affected, according to Farouk. Mr. Mandela Ukegbu, Chairman, Labour Party Presidential Campaign Committee on Special Duties; and Engineer Balami Isaac David, Senior Special Assistant on Presidential Campaign, Fund Raising, and Grassroot Mobilisation.
He wished them luck in all of their next endeavours.
The party filed a lawsuit after rejecting the announcement that All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu had won the February election.
Nonetheless, the courts maintained Tinubu’s triumph, causing the opposition party to suffer a double loss.
