Central Market in Zamfara engulfed in flames, resulting in the loss of one life and destruction of multiple shops
Multiple shops at Gusau Central Market have been destroyed by a fire, resulting in the unfortunate death of one individual.
The fire originated in the furniture section of the market, starting at approximately 9 p.m. last night. According to Hamza Mohammed, the Commander of the Nigerian Fire Service at the New Market office, a shop owner lost their life while attempting to enter their shop and extinguish the fire forcefully.
Firefighters from the state command have been diligently working to contain the inferno since 9 p.m. yesterday, successfully preventing its spread to neighboring shops.
While the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, it has caused significant damage to numerous establishments.
