Celestial Church leader puts an end to Portable and Pasuma’s performance at praise night

The pastoral leader of the Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters in Ketu, Olatosho Oshoffa, has vehemently disapproved of the invitation that the vocalists Portable and Pasuma received to participate in one of the church branch’s praise nights.

The flyer for their worship night, which featured Portable, Pasuma, and May Shua, was released by the Celestial Church of Christ, Land of Goshen in Lagos on Wednesday.

On social media, however, the announcement brought about a tsunami of responses from many Nigerians. Some called it depressing, while others questioned whether the temple of God was becoming a place for amusement.

In response to the disputes on his Facebook page, Oshoffa wrote, “Dear Celestians, I have just had a lengthy conversation with the Shepherd in Charge of the aforementioned Parish.” He has committed to changing the posters.

“He has assured me that the aforementioned musicians in dispute won’t be attending the nights. Without a doubt, the aforementioned poster is highly CONDEMNABLE. Blessings to CCC. Amen.
