Anambra State Police Command agents have taken into custody Obioma Okafor-Ama, also referred to as Alagbon, who has caused pain to residents of Awka South Local Government Area’s Nise Community.
After receiving a tip on October 19, Alagbon, who had been on the Police wanted list for a while, was eventually apprehended in his hiding place by members of the Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu.
The arrest was verified by Anambra Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, to NAN in Awka on Friday.

Adeoye added that following days of intelligence gathering, the culprit was apprehended in his hiding place in Nise by his men from RSS, Awkuzu.
He stated he was being held at the moment and will face charges in court once the inquiry was finished.
Alagbon is said to be the leader of an infamous cult that has terrorised the town’s citizens and those of other settlements, killing and maiming its victims in the process.
The authorities have had the infamous cultist and his group on their wanted list for a very long time.
“Alagbon is a member of the group that killed multiple people in Awka connected to cults.
A source added, “We are happy and jubilant when we heard the news of his arrest.”
