The updated “Service Charter” of the apex bank has been accepted by Yemi Cardoso, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The Business Facilitation Act 2022, which aims to improve the ease of doing business in Nigeria, requires the service charter, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

It requires the CBN to adhere strictly to SERVICOM’s guidelines for enhancing customer service delivery.

The CBN stated in Abuja on Thursday that the terms of the bank’s working relationships with its external clients were outlined in the charter. Furthermore, it stated that CBN’s dedication to offering prompt, efficient service to its stakeholders and customers was underlined by the service charter.

The bank’s directives, vision, mission, and basic values are all outlined in detail in this document.

It includes a list of the services the bank provides through its several departments along with the service requirements for each one. The bank said, “The service charter also includes a mechanism for addressing failures in any of the bank’s services as well as a standard customer complaints form for reporting service failures.”

In the amended paper’s foreword, Cardoso highlighted the CBN’s dedication to provide exceptional, accountable, and transparent service delivery that fosters more responsive and citizen-friendly governance.
