According to the Ohanaeze Ndigbo sociocultural group, suspended CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele allowed the cabals running the previous administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to destroy him on Saturday.
Ohanaeze claimed that Emefiele assisted the cabals who opposed Bola Tinubu’s election as president.
The group was responding to Tinubu’s choice to remove Emefiele from his position as CBN governor due to an ongoing investigation into the top bank.
The continued tenure of Emefiele in office, according to Ohanaeze Secretary-General Okechukwu Isiguzoro, will jeopardize Tinubu’s presidency.
The Ohanaeze leader said Emefiele’s suspension was the right choice in an interview with Obasanjonews24.
“Emefiele allowed himself to be destroyed by cabals who never wanted Tinubu to become president,” claims Isiguzoro. He shouldn’t have entered the murky world of politics as a CBN governor or been pressured to challenge Tinubu in the APC presidential primary.
“We view Emefiele’s suspension as the end of bad garbage; Ohanaeze applauds the arrest of Emefiele as a step in the right direction.
Emefiele’s continued tenure in office will weaken Tinubu’s presidency, which is a good thing.
