Unknown gunmen have kidnapped Very Rev. Fr. Oliver Buba, a priest serving with the Yola Catholic Diocese.

The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, Bare, located in Numan Local Government of Adamawa State.

The news was confirmed in a statement signed by Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Dami Mamza, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese.

In response to this distressing situation, Mamza has called upon all Christian faithful and individuals of goodwill to join in prayer for the prompt and safe release of the kidnapped priest.
