Michael Carrick, the manager of Middlesbrough, believes his team can defeat Chelsea in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final match because his players were poised, disciplined, and showed great quality and control against the Blues.
According to Obasanjo News24, the Championship team surprised Chelsea 1-0 at home.

Now, Carrick’s team will be hoping for a strong outcome at Stamford Bridge in two weeks for the second leg against the Premier League club.
In his post-match interview, Carrick stated, “It was a really good night; hopefully we can create some more of them in the future.”
“The boys were enormous.” They played with tremendous quality and calmness and were well-behaved and strategically astute. Everyone was required to give it their all on stage.
Even though it’s only halftime, the players ought to recognise and appreciate their accomplishments. Now they have to accept it. I’ve said it before, but this leg is completely different and presents a fresh difficulty. We shall accept the challenge, be prepared for it, and look forward to it.
