A automobile accident on the Yawuri motorway in the Magama Local Government Area of Niger State on Tuesday claimed the lives of at least 17 individuals.
In a statement from Abuja, Federal Road Safety Corps spokeswoman Bisi Kazeem confirmed the accident.

According to Mr. Kazeem, the incident happened at approximately three in the morning and involved 229 people, including 5 male children, 4 female adults, and 220 male adults.
According to an FRSC spokeswoman, a DAF articulated vehicle lost control of the vehicle due to a speed infraction.
He said that although they had varied degrees of injury, 206 adult males, one adult female, and one adult male kid had been rescued.
In all, 17 people lost their lives in the collision. For emergency medical care, the injured people have been flown to Kontagora General Hospital in Niger.
“The deceased were placed in the same hospital’s mortuary,” Mr. Kazeem said.
