For the CAF Young Player of the Year award, Nigerian forward Gift Orban is a nominee.
On their official X Twitter on Wednesday, CAF revealed the category’s shortlist.
Since moving to KAA Gent from Staebek in Norway in January, Orban has scored 27 goals for the Belgian Pro League team in all competitions.
Additional candidates for the honour are Burkina Faso’s Dango Ouatarra and Senegal’s Amara Diouf and Pape Diop.
The final Nigerian recipient of the honour was Victor Osimhen.
In December, there will likely be an award ceremony.
