Ex-spokesman for Atiku, Bwala, plans to switch to APC. Find out more about his move and the implications for his political career.

Daniel Bwala, who was once a spokesperson for the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has revealed that he intends to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in due time.

After his meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House Abuja, he made the declaration on Wednesday.

He confirmed the move, stating that during his last visit he was still a member of PDP. However, he has officially left PDP and is currently making preparations to join APC. He compared joining APC to planning a wedding; it requires notifying friends, relatives and well-wishers so they can attend the event which signifies their support for him in this new political journey. Therefore, his intention to defect from PDP has always been inevitable since he believes joining APC aligns with where he truly belongs politically.

“I have been a member of the APC for eight years, and I believe that my contributions to the party during this time are well-known by those in media. While there were differences that led me to leave previously, it is now essential that we come together as a nation under one banner to ensure our country thrives. When election season arrives, those who remain will handle matters accordingly; however, I wholeheartedly support President Bola Tinubu and plan on re-entering official APC membership soon.”
