Bus rams truck in Ogun, leaving two people killed and eight injured

A commercial bus collided with a truck on the Lagos-Ibadan highway, resulting in two fatalities and eight injuries.

Around Christopher University, on the motorway, the GAS 937-marked Toyota Hiace bus collided with the moving truck.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Florence Okpe, the FRSC’s Ogun State spokesman, verified the event.

Okpe stated that there were ten people engaged, with seven men and three women.

She claimed that two ladies and one guy were killed in the collision, while six men and two men sustained injuries.

Okpe attributed the fatal collision to the Toyota driver’s reckless overtaking and speeding.

She stated that while the dead were placed to Idera Mortuary in Sagamu, the injured victims were transported to Famobis Hospital in Mowe.

Okpe reported that Anthony Uga, the FRSC Sector Commander, warned drivers about speeding and using poor judgement when overtaking.
