Bus conductors sentenced to 3 months in prison for engaging in public altercation
Isah Abubakar and Abdulrazak Salihu were both given three-month prison terms by an Area Court in Jos on Tuesday for fighting in public and causing a disturbance.
Following their guilty pleas, the offenders were condemned by Judge Shawomi Bokkos.
However, the judge offered the guilty parties the choice of a N 10,000 fine each or three months in jail for disturbing the public peace.

The inmates were reportedly fighting behind the St. Augustine Major Seminary, according to information that the Laranto police station received, as the police prosecutor, Inspector Monday Dabit, had earlier told the court.
According to Dabit, the suspects admitted to the crime during the course of the police inquiry.
The police prosecutor claimed the offence contravened the requirements of Section 83 of the Plateau State Penal Code Law of Northern Nigeria. (NAN)
