Burna Boy: reveals I declined $5 million job in Dubai because I won’t be able to smoke pot

The Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ogulu, is a Nigerian who recently declined a $5 million offer to play in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, UAE.

He said that he declined the offer since smoking marijuana in Dubai would be prohibited.

Smoking is forbidden by Emirati legislation in Dubai’s parks, beaches, and other public recreation places.

“Just now I turned down Dubai money, 5 million dollar na small thing cos me I don’t dey like to dey go where dem no go gree allow me smoke igbo,” Burna Boy rapped in a video that went viral on the social media platform X during a rehearsal session with his band, Outsiders.
