The Miss South Africa pageant has witnessed bullying of Nigerian-linked model, Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina and Grammy-winning artist from Nigeria, Burna Boy lambasts the act.
On Saturday night, Mia Le Roux was crowned Miss South Africa 2024 amongst nine other models who were predominantly black.
Despite being deaf and a descendant of the Dutch settlers in South Africa known as Boers, she emerged victorious according to reports.

After Adetshina, a model of Nigerian and Mozambican descent, was compelled to drop out from the competition due to bullying by mainly black South Africans who believed that she couldn’t effectively portray them because of her roots, Nigerians alongside other Africans have used Chidimma’s win as an opportunity to ridicule those same blacks for their inability to produce one among themselves.
Burna Boy posted a picture of the white winner on his X account with the comment “So, that’s what happened… [laugh emoji],” indirectly referring to black South Africans’ assault on Chidimma Adetshina.
It was previously stated that Tyla, a South African singer, expressed disapproval of the bullying endured by Chidimma Adetshina at the hands of her fellow countrymen.
Adetshina was subjected to harsh treatment, which left her disappointed according to what she said.
