Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning singer from Nigeria, is the first African to have two songs debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the same year.

He accomplished the accomplishment after his song “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” eventually debuted at No. 80 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart after spending weeks on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart.

Following the release of Burna Boy’s seventh studio album, “I Told Them,” which increased the sales and streaming of the lead track, “Sittin’ On Top Of The World,” the song debuted on the main chart.

Billboard revealed on Tuesday through its X page that “@burnaboy’s ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ debuts at No. 80 on this week’s Hot 100.”

According to OBASANJO NEWS24, Burna Boy and Byron Messia’s song “Talibans II” made their chart debut in July of this year.

The seventh studio album by Burna Boy, titled “I Told Them,” debuted at position N0. 31 on the US Billboard 200 albums list.
