The burial date for the late Nollywood actor, John Okafor, has been announced by his family.
Prior to his passing, Mr Ibu had his leg amputated due to an undisclosed illness that he had been battling for several months.
The family has revealed that the burial will take place in his hometown of Amuri, located in the Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.
In a statement signed by Ibu’s brother, Elder Sunday Okafor, the family expressed their desire to honor the memory of their beloved John Ikechukwu Okafor, who even in death has left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and liveliness.

They have invited everyone to join them in laying their son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and in-law to rest on the 28th of June 2024.
The burial ceremony will span five days, starting with a high-profile novelty match on June 25th, followed by Mr Ibu’s Night on June 26th, which will include a candlelight procession and live entertainment.
On June 27th, a Christian Wake will be held at his compound in Eziokwe Amuri, Nkanu West, and the funeral service will take place on June 28th.
The ceremony will conclude on June 30th with a Church Thanksgiving for family members, friends, and well-wishers.
