Manager of Bayer Leverkusen Xabi Alonso has lauded Victor Boniface for his quick influence on the team.
At VFB Stuttgart on Sunday, Boniface recorded his eighth assist of the year in Die Werkself’s 1-1 tie.
This became the forward’s 21st goal assist since joining the BayArena this summer.

In his 21 appearances for Leverkusen throughout all competitions, the 22-year-old has 14 goals scored.
Alonso acknowledged that the Nigerian’s great debut at the club caught him off guard.
Alonso said at a press conference, “We could not be certain that the players would perform so well straightaway.”
Victor Boniface is still rather young, so perhaps we weren’t expecting this from him so soon.
“But it goes without saying that we are also really happy with the positive impact he has had.”
