Prior to President Muhammadu Buhari handing over office to his successor, the Presidential Transition Council has started making preparations.
Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has been chosen as the new president. Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party are challenging Tinubu’s election.
Dr. Ibrahim Kana, the permanent secretary of the ministry of defence, stated that the council will make government enjoyable for the new president on Friday.
At a briefing with ministry officials and members of the Transition Technical Task Team, or TTTT, Kana offered the guarantee.
The representative stated that the blueprint for the new president’s early start to office had already been created.
The council is to create the template while taking into consideration the nine priority areas of the present government. One of the topics is security, he revealed.
According to Kana, his ministry is in charge of carrying out the directive and has already established a task force for the ministerial transfer.
On February 14, Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), formally inaugurated the transition council.

The council will organise briefings on post-election security issues and is in responsibility of ensuring the safety of the President-elect and Vice President-elect.
For the President-elect and his or her transition team, it will arrange for facilities, including fully equipped offices.
The group will organise briefings for the President-elect from pertinent governmental officials and help the departing President and the President-elect communicate.
The council is also in responsible of planning the swearing-in event, which is often held at Eagle Square in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.
Dr. Habiba Lawal is the Secretary of the Presidential Transition Council and Special Advisor to the President on Policy and Coordination.
The top official will be named as the Federal Transition Coordinator by Executive Order No. 14 of 2023, which was issued in August 2022.
