Buhari’s assistant makes fun of Peter Obi concerning UK arrest
Bashir Ahmad, the Special Assistant to the President on Digital Media, has made fun of Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, for being detained in the UK.
According to Ahmad, Obi was handled in the UK like a normal criminal.
Upon the arrival of Obi’s British Airlines flight at Heathrow Airport on Friday morning, reports surfaced that UK Immigration had held and questioned him for hours over a suspected impersonation.
Concerned folks have continued to respond to the development.
Ahmad responded by calling Obi’s arrest in the UK deplorable.
He demanded that the UK government inform Nigerians of the details of Obi’s arrest.
The presidential assistant tweeted his confusion over whether the person apprehended and imprisoned was actually Obi or a fake.
The treatment of a former presidential contender on the whole like an ordinary criminal, in Ahmad’s opinion, is inappropriate. Haba.
“The UK should gladly share their knowledge with us regarding the countless Peter Obis skulking around. My distress about his detention was great.
Was it the legitimate Obi or the criminal Obi who ran for president in February and finished third? I really hope it wasn’t the bad one, oo!”
