According to the presidential spokesperson, Buhari is eager to go home and enjoy his retirement.

Reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is reluctant to transfer over to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, at the conclusion of his term on May 29 have been refuted by the Presidency, which claims that the government is already in the transitional period.

According to a statement released on Friday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, “The Presidency wishes to denounce as outrageous and fake, and condemns the fake news brigade for attributing a false quote to President Muhammadu Buhari and circulating it.”

How can you fervently support someone, give them your vote, and then declare that you won’t give him the reins? It’s hard to believe this.

Its ownership is “politically partisan in today’s politics, in fact a loser in the presidential election,” Shehu said, adding that the assumption put out by an online media is “quite sad.”

He said that rather than discussing problems, the platform continually promoted falsehoods in the hopes that people would accept them as fact.

“The government is already in a period of change. The transfer to the Tinubu/Shettima government is being planned nearly daily by the Transition Committee, which is made up of representatives of both the current and the incoming administrations.

Thirteen committees, some of which were created as offshoots of the main committee to plan military exercises and President Buhari’s withdrawal, are either now in operation or will be shortly. As of right now, there are no problems to report and everything is running smoothly.

After “successful management of the country for two terms of eight years,” Shehu said, the Daura community has started making plans to get their son back.

Buhari, for his part, is anxious to get back home and enjoy his retirement, according to the president’s spokesperson.
