Buhari encourages Nigerians to take charge of their food production and population control

Nigerians have been instructed by former President Muhammadu Buhari to continue cultivating their own food and manage population growth.

The former president conveyed his happiness that a sizable portion of Nigerians had returned to farming.

Buhari, however, voiced grave concerns about the unrestrained population growth in the country and stated that urgent action is now necessary.

In light of the state of the country at the moment, he addressed journalists on Sunday after taking part in the Kofor Arewa Eid prayer in Katsina.

The need to increase funding for health and education, as well as to have more conversations and understanding about this issue of unchecked population expansion.

“Let’s cultivate our own food.” We’ve demonstrated our ability. When we notice that costs are rising, it is not the time to give up. Let’s purchase domestically created goods.

“Successful governments have laid the groundwork for a prosperous and stable nation, and I especially encourage our youth to continue to play an active role in various nation-building initiatives,” the speaker stated.
