Otu gave his biggest rival, Onor, a hand of friendship as he showed his satisfaction at having his victory confirmed.
Given that he had received a sizable majority of the vote in the March 18 governorship election, the governor expressed confidence in the appeal’s result.
Otu pledged to carry out his People First Agenda and serve the state.
He asked the opposition to cooperate with his administration in advancing the state and to accept the ruling in good faith.
The Court of Appeal’s decision today is a positive step forward, confirming that the people of March 18, 2023, decisively voted us in.
The legal challenges to the results of the governorship race ought to conclude with this decision.
“I once again extend a hand of friendship to those in opposition, particularly my brother, Prof. Sandy Onor. Come work with me in government so that we may advance our state and reap the benefits of democracy together.
