Two additional Rivers State commissioners, who are known for their allegiance to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, have officially stepped down from their positions within the State Executive Council.
Inime Aguma, the Commissioner for Social Welfare, and Jacobson Nbina, the Commissioner for Transport, have both submitted their resignation letters to the state government.
These letters were individually addressed to the governor, Siminalayi Fubara, through the Office of the Secretary to the Rivers State Government.

This development comes amidst a growing political crisis in the state, with a total of five commissioners now having informed Fubara of their intentions to resign from their governmental roles.
Earlier reports had highlighted the resignations of Commissioner for Education, Professor Prince Chinedu Mmom, Commissioner for Housing, Gift Worlu, and Commissioner for Environment, Austen Ben-Chioma, further adding to the list of officials stepping down.
