Some men and women have been appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to work in the Office of the President’s Media and Publicity Directorate.
The following list of new hires was included in a statement that bears Ajuri Ngelale’s signature as Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity:
(1) Mr. Fela Durotoye, Senior Special Assistant for National Values and Social Justice
(2) Senior Special Assistant to the President for Public Engagement, Mr. Fredrick Nwabufo
3) Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe
President’s Senior Special Assistant for Strategic Communications
(4) Mr. Aliyu Audu
Public Affairs Special Assistant to the President

The announcement claims that the President has additionally approved Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe’s secondment to the position of communications adviser to the president of the ECOWAS Commission.
He orders all newly appointed employees in the Media and Publicity Directorate to uphold the highest standards of decency and decorum in their interactions with all members of the public as they advance the President’s tenacious effort to restore Nigerians’ faith in an economy that has been restructured and a society that is cohesive and adequately meets the needs of all.
According to reports, when making this new appointment, the President upheld the supremacy of merit and the federal character concept in Nigeria.
