The election of Peter Mbah as the governor of Enugu State has been affirmed by the Supreme Court.
The first respondent, Governor Peter Mbah, was favored by the apex court, which resolved all the issues in his favor. A panel of five members, led by Justice Mohammed Garba, concluded that the Labour Party and its candidate, Chijioke Edeoga, were unable to provide sufficient evidence of substantial non-compliance with the electoral law.
Additionally, the court dismissed the allegation of NYSC certificate forgery, which was one of the grounds on which the Labour Party governorship candidate sought to disqualify Governor Peter Mbah. Stay tuned for further updates.
