Negotiations to find a middle ground regarding a revised minimum wage for public service employees have hit a stalemate as organized labor once again left the meeting.
According to sources present at the meeting, the government did not put forward a higher amount than the N60,000 it had previously offered during the Tuesday meeting earlier this week.

This recent turn of events suggests that the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress might initiate preparations for a strike, as they have planned a press conference at the national headquarters at 4pm. Further information will be provided at a later time.
