The Kogi State Social Democratic Party (SDP) has demanded that the state’s governorship election results from November 11th be revoked.

The SDP made this request at the collation centre for the gubernatorial election, where David Edibu, the party’s collation agent, had filed two petitions with the Independent National Electoral Commission, demanding the annulment of the results in the local government areas of Okene, Okehi, Ogori Magongo, Adavi, and Ajaokuta, as well as in certain areas of Lokoja. The petitions accused the parties of engaging in corrupt practises, vote buying, and excessive voting.

He continued by saying that Social Democratic Party operatives were prohibited from approaching the local government regions’ polling places.
