However, the Inspector General of Police issued a letter of objection to the list on June 10 addressed to the Chairman of the Commission, citing the discovered irregularities.

According to Obasanjonews.com, the PSC had said on June 4 that 10,000 candidates had been approved and that the list will be made public for the purpose of hiring constables and specialised cadres.

On June 10, the Inspector General of Police, citing the found anomalies, sent a letter to the Chairman of the Commission objecting to the list.
