Protesters hailing from Zamfara State took over the entrance to the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday.
Their main demand is for the anti-graft agency to resume investigations into the actions of the former governor of the state, Bello Matawalle.
As reported by Channels TV, the group of protesters, operating under the banner of APC Loyalists Forum, is urging the EFCC to thoroughly look into all complaints lodged against the ex-governor.

These complaints specifically involve the purported misappropriation of funds amounting to N70 billion during his time in office.
The EFCC’s Director of Public Affairs, Wilson Uwujaren, accepted the protest letter on behalf of the chairman and assured the demonstrators that the EFCC remains committed to seeing through every corruption case until a satisfactory resolution is reached.
